Add Tenant Site Root for Shared Content Action

Description

The action adds a specific item as a tenant-site root folder for site-shared content in the "Select a Datasource" dialog

Example

1) Create a new rule "Add Site Shared Content Root" under /sitecore/system/Settings/Rules/Component Datasource Location/Rules

2) Create a new site shared folder "My New Site Shared Folder"

 

3) Edit Rule

  • Set "where a specific rendering is being rendered" condition to Content Spot rendering
  • Set "add a specific item as a tenant-site root folder for site-shared content" action to your site shared content folder item (e.g. My New Site Shared Content Folder)

3) Completed rule should look like on the screenshot below

4) Create a new page and/or open a page in the Page Editor (e.g. scoretest-content-page)

5) Add new Content Spot rendering to the page to display "Select the Associated Content" dialog

6) Click on Create New Content button, then Click on the first blue Content Spots folder and finally click on OK button to create Content Spot datasource item in Site Shared Folder.

NOTE: the second blue folder is the default folder (named as Content right under the Site item) created by SCORE Rules Engine

7) Save the page and check just created content spot datasource item in sitecore tree under "My New Site Shared Content Folder"
